This is a portrait mode photo. The subject of the photo is clear and in focus. Around the subject it should have a soft blur. Like it was taken with a professional camera and longer lens. This gives it a Shallow Depth of Field effect. This gives it a professional look on an iPhone. You can change to portrait mode where you choose photo video or slow Mo in the Camera app.

Remember, the up or down volume buttons work as a camera shutter button and take the photo or Start/stop video recording. This usually allows you to be more steady. You have both hands on the outside of the iPhone.
