Descriptive Stoner Nerd & Claude, the code slave
Entry #38.0 May 2, 2026

I was feeling particularly happy on Thursday. I made 3 posts that I was particularly happy with. It was the first time that I wanted to commit mutiple posts to my blog, where they all occurred on the same day. Let me tell you how I approached it. To my knowledge it is just my system. This is how you write custom software with Claude.
If you've been following the system I explained before, I've never committed more than one entry to my blog per day. Entries are simply numerical. Whole numbers. You can see the pattern in the screenshot.
You can also see my entry for day number 37. That was the day I had multiple entries in one day. You can see how I handled it in my folder of entries. Next I am going to break down the prompt that I fed Claude.
First of all I uploaded Claude the current index PHP Vlog code for my blog. This contains the code that renders the page that you see. I also uploaded it a screenshot of the entries folder of my website. The same thing that I have displaying for this entry here. This is what I explained to it:
We've been doing a whole number numerical value system for each entry of my blog. Each entry is on a new day. It has worked well. But today is the first day that I've had multiple entries on one day. This is how I have decided to handle it. If a day has multiple entries, it gets version numbers. Like you can see in the screenshot I attached. I am also going to upload, 37.md, 37.1.md and 37.2.md. I want you to see how I handled the attribution line. Let me explain the system to you. 37.md is the first blog entry of April 29, 2026. It has a standard attribution line. 37.1.md is the second blog entry of the day of April 29, 2026. It's attribution line starts with 'Second Edition written by'. 37.7.2.md is the mark down file name for the third blog entry of the day. Same day. It's attribution line starts with 'Third edition written by'. This is how I am going to handle multiple entries on the same day. I need you to adjust my blog engine accordingly. I am uploading the index PHP file. If you also need the RSSPHP we will do that file next. Respond only with the PHP code for index PHP in response. Do not say anything else.
I say at the end to only respond with the PHP code so I can easily copy and paste the entire message. I simply copy and paste the code it generates into a file that I create and manage using FE file explorer. This is how I am now handling multiple entries on the same day at DiaryofaBlindAmerican. I came up with the system myself. Claude just needed me to describe the system to it. It wrote the code to handle everything.
