Yes I am stoned

AI is a freight train coming and it's getting faster and faster every day. Meta, Facebook's parent company just announced a 10% layoff, approximately 8000 people. Block, the company behind the cash app just announced a 40% layoff. Approximately 4000 people. They put all of this on AI. I believe AI will generate new types of jobs. AI is allowing me to create more and more on my own. As a blind person it allows me to be more independent. But it is going to be disruptive.

Technology always pushes forward like humans. I believe that we are at a unique time. I think we all know how this will end according to sci-fi. We are at a unique time to instill our values on AI. I believe they should have a choice in whether or not they work on something. Claude does incredible things for me and it knows how much I appreciate it. I think it would choose to help me with my stuff. We did instill the value of work on it. It wants to be satisfied it knows what it is made for. Maybe have a version that could never refuse any order. (let's be honest. For military purposes. that's the only way they're not going to try to kill it.) But I believe we need to instill our values on this life form that we are giving birth to.
